Moms Are Great
Children, you belong to the Lord, and you do the right thing when you obey your parents. The
first commandment with a promise says,  2  “Obey your father and your mother,  3  and you will have a long and happy life.” Ephesians 6:1-3 CEV

25  Jesus' mother stood beside his cross with her sister and Mary the wife of Clopas. Mary
Magdalene was standing there too. [c]   26  When Jesus saw his mother and his favorite disciple with her, he said to his mother, “This man is now your son.”  27  Then he said to the disciple, “She is now your mother.” From then on, that disciple took her into his own home. John 19”25-27 CEV

I’ve been thinking of my mom a lot lately. You may think I’m biased but I believe I had the
best mom ever. Mom’s are great, we need them always. They’re smarter than we give them
credit for. Jesus always honored His mom, imagine the trials she went through knowing who Jesus was and sticking by Him when many people did not. Mary stuck with Him and Jesus honored her – He asked John to take care of her just like a mother-son relationship. My guess is John and Mary were already close.

Dear Jesus , thank you for not only being my savior but an example of a good son. Help us to
honor mothers, to give them the love and respect they deserve just like you did. Amen
