God Is Good All The Time (Linda D)

God is good.
Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good;
For His faithfulness is everlasting. 1 Chronicles 16:34 NASB

God is good, I cannot say it enough. It is true. It does not always seem like it but it’s true.
He is good, all the time. Let Him guide you and you will always come out of the dark days, and
you will always be stronger and better.

It’s been a reflective year, working from home has become normal, the world has changed and
our new normal is yet to be determined. As Christians we need to do all we can to help one
another and especially those who have no one. I have had a small great group of friends in
my corner this year – some women from church and my pastor – who knew I was sick and were
praying for me. God was with me He always is, but somehow, I felt Him more this year than
others.

I had surgery on May 3 rd , yes in the midst of surgery cancellation I was scheduled, and it did
happen. That in itself, is a miracle. I had no anxiety or fear before surgery, that’s my Jesus –
I’m always afraid of the unknown, it doesn’t stop me, but I am a big chicken. God came
through – NO FEAR. Instead, I had an odd calmness, I knew I was not alone – not only is God
good but He’s Always There.

Post surgery has gone well, and despite saying no twice – I had amazing food delivered 3 days
in a row. Let me say, my friends are amazing cooks – it was almost worth going through the
surgery. They along with my pastor and small group of friends were God’s hands and feet to
me this year.

I have been reflecting on the past week and time leading up to it. I can tell you one thing for
sure GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME. Trust Him, you will still have bad times but somehow
they just aren’t as bad.

I encourage you to know that God is good and that HE LOVES YOU. Trust Him through
whatever it is you are going through. Look for Him in the chaos and in the peace. If you are
bored because there’s yet another lockdown, put on an old sermon, listen to worship music,
read the Bible or a devotional, pray or any combination of these. Spend some time with your
loving Father.

Dear God ,
Thank you for being that loving Father , for loving me, for just being there. Help us to always
lean on you in the good and bad and to remember to say thank you. Thank you AMEN

Cory Bursey
