The Right Words (Mel B)

The Right Words

Ecclesiastes 3: 19-21 NIV
19.  Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both. As one dies so does the other.  All have the same breath; humans have no advantage over animals.  Everything is meaningless. 20. All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return. 21. Who knows if the human spirit rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?

What do you say when your child asks you if their pet is going to heaven?
Let's discuss this for a moment before we answer this.

Animals have a peculiar kind of soul which gives them consciousness but they do not have free will. Man is made in the image and likeness of God, giving us body, soul and spirit.
We are unique among ALL creations because we have the gift of Jesus Christ in our lives.
The only way to Heaven is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. One must repent and trust in Jesus to receive forgiveness of sins, and a new life in the Spirit.  Only man is redeemed by Jesus and given His righteousness so when one stands before God he has been made worthy to enter heaven.

So to answer Will Pets Go To Heaven? There is nothing in the Bible that gives a definite Yes or No. One thing for sure is that God gave us animals to enjoy here on earth. We should thank Him for our pets. We will grieve them greatly but Jesus will comfort us in this sorrow. In the death of your pet, give thanks for the joy it has brought you.

Deary Heavenly Father, give me the right words to say that will guide your little children to your grace and love
